Our location Solidus Tubembal, located in Portugal, operates internationally and is one of the leading companies in manufacturing cardboard cores, tubes and edge protectors. Technically advanced machines and quality-conscious employees ensure the best possible realisation of the products and delivery requirements. Given that the products play a key role in our customers’ businesses, in diverse industries such as paper, plastics, construction and textile, we produce technically superior solid board cores and tubes tailored to each use. With that, we take dimensional stability, concentricity, compression strength and many other considerations into account.
Manufactured from recycled paper which is durable and can be used several times, our cardboard cores are a cost-efficient alternative to metal, plastic, glass and wood equivalents. The quality of the cores is supported through usage of multiple laboratory tests and guaranteed by the use of high quality raw materials provided by globally recognized suppliers. We manufacture standard qualities for normal applications in the paper, plastic and metal industry as well as cores made from higher quality, performed with controlled strength, dimensions and humidity. Our range of internal core sizes goes from 70 to 700mm, and solid board thicknesses from 1.5mm to 25mm.
We manufacture custom-made tubes for use throughout the textile industry. We have a very flexible range of sizes from 30 to 700mm, and solid board thicknesses from 1.5mm to 15mm, with several internal and external finishes. We provide tubes in different colours with various diameters and lengths, protected with plastic or metal caps at the ends, intended for dispatch and packaging of documents and parts.
Prepared for extreme humidity and temperature, Aquatube is developed in close partnership with the agricultural film industry as an environmentally sustainable solution and alternative to plastic tubes.
Aquatube is made from 100% recyclable cardboard. Therefore the finished product is more durable and holds its shape in high humidity environments with great mechanical properties and stable moist contents.
