By maintaining the modified atmosphere, these trays help extend shelf life while offering the convenience consumers expect from modern ready meal packaging. At the same time, they use up to 90% less plastic than conventional plastic MAP trays. After the meal, the barrier film can be peeled away, allowing the tray to be disposed of in the paper recycling stream.
